Hi there!
This is Mehak, reaching out to you from Mumbai. It’s spring here but the weather is super hot. On the bright side, the heat has led to an explosion of blooming flowers and fruits. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the value of working hard and putting an effort for ourselves. There is a lot of information everywhere around us about how to take care of us. While it’s all incredibly valuable, I’ve realised that the biggest form of self-love I show to myself is when I work hard and put an effort into things that truly matter to me: my goals, aspirations and relationships. Showing up for myself and my values everyday and not giving up makes me realise that I’m worth all the effort I’m putting in and how important my values are.
We’re inching towards the middle of the year and all of us at Chayn have been putting in tremendous effort and really enjoying the journey. We’re sharing a glimpse of our team’s work desks where all the hard work takes place — the behind the scenes where all the cooking happens for our big ideas at Chayn.

This is our first newsletter since the new year. We acknowledge that we haven't been particularly active in keeping you updated but better late than never, right? We have lots of exciting news to give you - all packed in this one newsletter.
A new course on Bloom
Back in March, we launched a new course titled Recovering from toxic and abusive relationships. The course contains our trauma-informed content and delves into abusive tactics, the cycle of coercive control, the science of trauma, and how abuse can affect our boundaries, relationships, and coping mechanisms. Through this course, we aim to empower individuals to build a positive self-esteem by equipping them with valuable tools like journaling, somatic practice, and fostering a strong sense of community. You can access our new course at bloom.chayn.co.
A new Whatsapp messaging service
We have curated a new survivor support service at Bloom called Notes from Bloom. We understand that the healing process can often feel lengthy and isolating, and we all deserve a little extra kindness, affirmation, and support along the way. Our Notes from Bloom is a Whatsapp messaging service that aims to do just that. After you sign up, we send you bi-weekly reminders directly to your phone with affirmations, encouragement, and activities from our courses.
Notes from Bloom is another way to connect with Bloom and it’s open to anyone. Whether you're new to Bloom and just starting to explore our resources or have previously received support from us, we want to assure you that you're not alone on your healing journey. We’re here to support you and be with you. Notes from Bloom is currently only available in English.
If you want to explore more about Notes from Bloom and subscribe, hop to bloom.chayn.co/subscription/whatsapp.
And finally…
We want to give you important news — this will be the last edition of our Bloom newsletter in its current format. We’re constantly evolving as an organisation and finding better ways of supporting and sharing resources with our Bloom community. So moving forward, our newsletter will not only cover content from Bloom but also include our other resources for survivors. We have numerous how-to guides, short courses on our platform Soul Medicine, curated bite-size notes for survivors of sexual violence on YSM and so much more.
So while this is an end of a long and beautiful ritual of warm and intimate Bloom newsletters, we’re expanding into something bigger and we hope to keep that warmth and connection alive in our newsletters. Like I mentioned at the start, we’re all working very hard to get the best services for our community of survivors and we hope that all these new updates make you excited.
We hope to see you next time, in a new format, in a new look!
Warmly,
Mehak and the Bloom team
